Bilad Alrafidain Journal for Engineering Science and Technology (BAJEST) is dedicated to promoting high ethical standards and ensuring the integrity of the research it publishes. Authors are required to maintain honesty, transparency, and responsibility in all stages of their research and publication process.

BAJEST firmly prohibits all forms of unethical behavior, including plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, and duplicate publication without proper citation or acknowledgment. The journal expects all submitted manuscripts to represent original work that has not been published or under consideration elsewhere.

In line with our ongoing commitment to publication ethics, BAJEST has implemented a robust policy to identify and address plagiarism and unethical use of artificial intelligence in manuscript preparation. Beginning May 1st, 2023, coinciding with the release of Turnitin’s AI detection feature, all submitted manuscripts are screened through Turnitin prior to editorial evaluation.

If overlapping or similar content is detected, the editorial board will conduct a thorough review. Manuscripts found to contain a significant level of plagiarism—whether generated by human or AI tools—will not be accepted for publication.

This policy reinforces BAJEST’s dedication to upholding the credibility, originality, and academic value of its publications. Authors are encouraged to follow the principles of academic integrity and ethical scholarship, contributing responsibly to the advancement of civil, mechanical, and other engineering sciences represented within the journal’s scope.
